Timesaving Tips
- The best way to make these spiral hot dogs is in the oven for even baking. Making these on a grill would be excessive heat for the dough and would likely burn.
- You can cut the dough ahead of time and store in the refrigerator. Then prepare when ready.
- Prepare the cheese stars ahead of time. You can even make extra and serve the stars on their own next to the hot dogs.
- Use a cooking thermometer to check hot dogs for readiness. They should be at an internal temperature, which should be 165°F.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

Ingredients

- 4 oz. sharp cheddar cheese
