I love classic cheesecake. Mini cheesecakes, cheesecake in a cone, cheesecake parfaits, you name it. But my favorite cheesecake to make is hands down a simple, no bake cheesecake recipe.
And this no bake chocolate coffee swirled cheesecake is no exception. It’s packed with great flavor and only takes a minimal amount of time to put together. You can even make it easier by using a premade crust!

For the Chocolate Cookie Crust
Oreo Crumbs - a lot of grocery stores sell bags of just the chocolate cookie crumbs
White Granulated Sugar
Instant Espresso - find freeze-dried instant espresso in the coffee aisle
Unsalted Butter
Egg White - at slightly room temp for better binding and mixing
For the Filling
Cream Cheese - softened to room temp for best results
White Granulated Sugar
Heavy Cream
Vanilla Extract - make sure it’s in-date for the fullest flavor
Instant Espresso
Cocoa Powder - use fresh for maximum cocoa flavor
Substitutions & Alterations
- You can make this recipe with a different type of cookie crust or regular graham cracker crust
- You can sub the espresso with instant coffee flakes. But be aware that regular instant coffee doesn’t have the same depth of flavor.
How to Make Chocolate Swirl Cheesecake
This is an overview of the step-by-step instructions that can be found in the recipe card below.
Step 1 - Prepare your baking pan. In a mixing bowl add the oreo crumbs white sugar and espresso. Mix together with a fork until the dry ingredients are evenly distributed.
Step 2 - Add the egg white and melted butter next. Mix again until a thick oreo paste forms. Pour this into the prepared baking pan and press into it evenly all the way out to the edges. Bake the crust for 15 minutes.

Step 3 - In a large bowl, blend the cream cheese and ¾ cup of white sugar. Add the vanilla extract and ⅓ cup of the heavy cream to the mixture. Blend with a hand mixer until smooth.
Step 4 - Once the oreo crust is out of the oven and has cooled for at least 10 minutes, Add 4 large dollops of the cream cheese filling on top of the baked oreo crust. Spread these spoonfuls out with a frosting knife, rubber spatula, or the back of a spoon.. Set aside the rest of the cream cheese filling.
Step 5 - In a microwavable bowl or in a saucepan add the remaining ⅓ cup of heavy cream. Heat over the stove or in the microwave until warm. Add the espresso powder and cocoa powder to the cream and stir until melted together. Add the cocoa mixture and the remaining cream cheese filling.
Step 6 - Place spoonfuls of this filling with the rest of the regular cream cheese filling in the baking pan.
Step 7 -Create a swirl effect using a knife. (This creates the marble effect.)
Sprinkle extra espresso powder on top for garnish and chill for at least 4 hours.

How to Store Leftover Cheesecake Slices
Store leftover cheesecake slices in an airtight container or zip top bag in the refrigerator for up to 2-3 days.
Freeze leftover bars - place bars on a wax paper or parchment lined baking sheet. Place the sliced cheesecake bars in a single layer and place in the freezer until frozen completely. Transfer bars to a freezer safe bag or air-tight container and freeze for up to 1 month.

Chocolate Swirl Cheesecake
Equipment
- 9x9 Baking Dish

Ingredients
For the Crust
- 1 ½ cups oreo crumbs
- ¼ cup white granulated sugar
- ½ tablespoon instant espresso
- ¼ cup unsalted butter melted
- ½ egg white
For the Filling
- 12 ounces cream cheese softened
- ¾ cup white granulated sugar
- ⅔ cup heavy cream divided
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon instant espresso
- ½ tablespoon cocoa powder
Instructions
- Heat oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit and prepare a 8x8 baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl add the oreo crumbs white sugar and espresso. Mix together with a fork until the dry ingredients are evenly distributed.
- Add the egg white and melted butter next. Mix again until a thick oreo paste forms. Pour this into the prepared baking pan and press mixture into the pan evenly.
- Bake the oreo crust for 15 minutes.
- While that is baking, take another larger bowl and add the cream cheese and ¾ cup of white sugar. Blend together until the mixture is lump free.
- Pour in the vanilla and ⅓ cup of the heavy cream to the mixture. Blend with a hand mixer until smooth.
- Once the oreo crust is out of the oven and has cooled for at least 10 minutes, take 3 to four large dollops of the cream cheese filling and place on top of the baked oreo crust. Be sure to spread these spoonfuls apart.
- Set aside the rest of the cream cheese filling.
- In a microwavable bowl or in a saucepan add the remaining ⅓ cup of heavy cream. Heat over the stove or in the microwave until warm.
- Add the espresso powder and cocoa powder to the cream and stir until melted together.
- Add the cocoa mixture and to the remaining cream cheese filling. Blend this together to create the espresso cream cheese filling until nice and smooth.
- Place spoonfuls of this filling with the rest of the regular cream cheese filling in the baking pan.
- Use a knife and drag through the brown and white cream cheese fillings in the pan to create a pretty swirl effect in the bars. Shake and lightly tap the baking pan on a sturdy table or counter to help the filling even out without ruining the swirl by spreading with a knife.
- Sprinkle extra espresso powder or coffee seeds on top for garnish and chill for 4 hours
- Cut into bars and serve.
